1. Set your yoga mat down on the floor and lie down on it and then turn to your side.
2. Bend the knee that is on top at 90 degrees and rest it on the mat with the calf and shin parallel to the leg underneath.
3. Straighten the underneath leg and rest it on the mat.
4. Push the knee from the top leg into the mat as if you were trying to dig into the floor. Hold it for a count of five. Do 12 repetitions.

Swiss Ball Knee Squeezes

1. Lie down on your yoga mat and slightly raise your legs. Place the ball between your knees. This time your knees are bent at about a 90 degree angle and are also off the ground.
2. Squeeze the Swiss ball between your knees as hard as you can. It would be ideal if you can keep on squeezing until the muscles in your legs start shaking. Try for five seconds or more.
3. Release slowly and then repeat. Do as many repetitions of this exercise as you can, aiming for 12 or more.
