How to Measure Yourself for Weight Loss- One of the vital things that you need to do when you are setting out to lose weight is to measure your body in the proper way. By doing that you can get the exact measurements of your body so that you are going to be aware about the exact amount of workout or dieting that you need to do when you are aiming to shed some excess weight.
Taking body measurements is actually a better way of keeping track if you are making any progress or not than using a weighing scale. That’s because it directly measures the fat in your body which is the main thing that you have got to lose when you want to shed some extra pounds.
1. Take off your clothes and stand right in-front of a mirror. It is better if you have the help of another person.
2. Measure the largest part of your chest using a measuring tape. Take note of the number that you get.
3. Measure your biceps and your waist in the same way.
4. Place your feet together and measure your hips and buttocks.
5. Measure your upper thigh on your upper leg.
Make sure that you keep the record and that you measure periodically so you can keep track of your progress.
